Brave, brave, the Frankfurt book fair are on the move: The 2020 edition, the organizer announced yesterday, will take place in October. It was planned to let them both on the exhibition grounds, on a decentralised basis in the city of Frankfurt am Main, as well as take place virtually. Details for program planning and this year’s campaign will be announced at the end of June.
“With the presence on the site, book events on-site and virtually, we create Public awareness for authors, for industry, for our themes,” says Juergen Boos, the Director of the fair. Currently, we are working to develop a range of digital formats, which as far as possible to the customer’s needs and the participation of companies and stakeholders from the Publishing and adjoining industries in the world at the book fair in 2020 will enable.
The peace prize of the German book trade and the German book prize are to be awarded also are the scheduled dates, namely on 12. October, respectively, on 18. October 2020.
