(Seattle) Joey Daccord stopped 35 shots for his second career shutout, Eeli Tolvanen scored a goal and added an assist, and the Seattle Kraken defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in the Winter Classic, Monday.

A crowd of 47,313 gathered at T-Mobile Park for the event. The Kraken dominated the reigning Stanley Cup champions in this duel between the NHL’s two newest expansion teams.

The Kraken are 7-0-2 in their last nine games.

Tolvanen scored his 10th goal of the season, deflecting Vince Dunn’s point shot early in the first period.

Tolvanen had an assist on Will Borgen’s slapshot, which beat goaltender Logan Thompson in the second period.

Yanni Gourde made it 3-0 2:10 into the third period. He took the puck from Paul Cotter at the blue line, before scoring the Kraken’s third goal.
