Willie, Korie Robertson on gun control Following home break-in: Folks are’against them until something happens’

“Duck Dynasty” celebrities Willie and Korie Robertson are opening up about a scary time in their lives and sharing their thoughts on gun controller .

Within an exclusive clip of next week’s”At Home With the Robertsons” Facebook Watch episode, Korie revealed that someone tried to break into the couple’s home earlier this season.

“A great deal of individuals, they can say they’re against them till something happens and like,’Oh where is the person who has the gun?”’ Or’I wish I had a gun,'” Korie said in a preview of Monday’s episode,”Can Gun Control Really Work?”

Korie added,”I know it happened this year to us like somebody tried to break into our home and I was really glad Willie had a gun hidden somewhere and I made it out and I was sitting on my bed ready.”

Willie then chimed in, sharing his perspective on waiting for authorities to handle the circumstance. “Well, in case you would think,’We’ll just call the cops and they will show up’ — and that’s not the situation.”

“When things happen it is not the case which you can say,’Hang on. You then wait for the cops and the cops get there and then you are like,’OK. Back to your intruding or anything you’re around,'” he continued.

In an interview confessional, Korie elaborated further on the incident, stating that there was an intruder attempting to get in and even though the cops came quickly, she was grateful that she”needed a gun to defend” herself.

“But you know those moments you’re sitting on your own bed holding your rifle, you know, wondering if someone’s going to bust through your door, I mean it is frightening. I was really grateful that I had it. I didn’t want to utilize it. But at that moment, when there’s an intruder in your house, I felt really, really grateful that I had a gun to defend myself.”
