Who is Syndrome E star Jennifer Decker? (PICTURES)

Thursday, September 29, TF1 launches Syndrome E, its new detective series. Adapted from the novel by French writer Franck Thilliez, Syndrome E will consist of 6 episodes in total. Directed by Laure de Butler, the series offered itself a five-star cast. We find in particular Kool Shen, Emmanuelle Béart, Bérangère Krief, Richard Bohringer or Michèle Bernier.

In the main roles, viewers will recognize Vincent Elbaz who will play Inspector Franck Sharko, commissioner in Paris, at 36 quai des orfèvres. A gruff and lonely cop, this single father will take care of a new investigation in which children mysteriously disappear while an old film from the 60s provokes strange and dangerous behavior in those who watch it. The police officer will have to investigate Inspector Lucie Hennebelle, played by Jennifer Decker. Based in Lille, this single mother quickly understands that this investigation has a link with her past…

This new TF1 mini-series is an opportunity to put Jennifer Decker in the spotlight. At 39, the French actress has already had a busy career between her many roles on the big and small screen, as well as in the theater. Born in 1982 in Paris, Jennifer Decker began acting at the Lycée de Viry-Châtillon, under the direction of author Pierre Notte. The latter introduced Jennifer Decker to the Franco-British director Irina Brook who offered her the role of Juliet in her reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s play Roméo et Juliette in 2001, at the Théâtre national de Chaillot.

Thereafter, the actress begins to shoot for many films and TV movies. We find her in particular in Jeune Homme by Christoph Schaub, Hellphone by James Huth, Lulu and Jimi by Oskar Roehle, Les Amants naufragés by Jea-Christophe Delpias, Les Amants du Flore by Ilan Duran Cohen or Mange by Julia Ducournau and Virgile. Bramley. In 2008, the actress gradually returned to the theater. In September 2011, she became a resident of the Comédie-Française. She notably made her debut with the troupe in Molière’s L’Avare in the role of Marianne.
