WhatsApp: some phones will soon no longer be compatible with the application

Practical for keeping in touch, with family or friends, WhatsApp groups are more and more widespread. They allow you to chat easily and instinctively in two-person messages or in groups of up to 256 people.

The application is particularly popular in France since it is used by 30 million people each month and 14 million each day, according to the statements of Médiamétrie of June 2020.

However, in September 2022, some social network aficionados may no longer be able to send messages to their groups of friends. Indeed, like every year, WhatsApp carries out new security updates. For this reason, several Apple-branded devices are expected to become obsolete soon and will no longer be able to use the app, reports Buzz Ezine.

On the side of Apple, several phones will therefore be affected by this. Thus, it will no longer be possible to use WhatsApp on devices running iOS 10 or 11. Thus, if you have a phone of a generation lower than the iPhone 5s or SE, it will now be impossible to use the application.

On the other hand, some people may still encounter difficulties in operating the application, even with a compatible phone. In this case, it is enough to check that the updates of the phone are effective and to download, at least, iOS 12.

In the same way, it is also possible that the application on your phone is outdated. Then go to the Appstore to update WhatsApp and be able to interact with your friends again.
