What becomes of Maïté? When her granddaughter gave her news

Maïté, whose real name is Marie-Thérèse Ordonez, is one of the icons of the small screen. Indeed, thanks to his singing accent and his outspokenness, his show La Cuisine des Mousquetaires was a great success during its broadcast in the 1980s and 1990s.

As she turns 84 on June 2, 2022, the cook has moved away from the world of television. His last appearance in the media dates back to 2007 in the documentary A table avec les Politiques, reports Orange Tendances.

Camille Ordonez was born in 2001, so she did not experience the period during which Maïté had such great success. It was later that she discovered her grandmother’s shows. “She started showing me her shows when I was seven or eight years old, with my sister. When she looked after us at night, when we slept at her house, she played La Cuisine des Mousquetaires on tape for us to put us to sleep. .”

For the young girl, Marie-Thérèse Ordonez was “an exceptional grandmother”. She never really equated her with a celebrity, says Current Woman in particular. “There was never this Maïté side, but rather grandma Maïté.”
