The last weekend of July promises to be fine and dry throughout France. According to forecasts by La Chaîne Météo, “the Azores anticyclone will reinflate from the west, favoring sunny and warmer weather”, while thunderstorms will become increasingly rare and the heat increasingly strong.
Also, the mercury is expected to climb again in the northern regions of the country.
Saturday July 29, 2022, the site specializing in meteorology announces a generally blue and sunny sky over the majority of France, despite some clouds in the mountains and persistent thunderstorms on the highest reliefs.
“The minimums will be between 13 and 24°C from the Channel coast to the shores of the Mediterranean. In the afternoon, we expect an average of 28 to 32°C from north to south”, specifies the forecaster.
Sunday July 30, 2022, on the other hand, it is the Pyrenees chain which will be threatened by a risk of stormy deterioration. At the same time, the rest of the country can expect bright sunshine and strong heat. In the afternoon, we expect 30 to 34°C on average.
As La Chaîne Météo points out, this situation is conducive to a possible heat wave the following week, especially in the south of the territory. Already on Sunday, the daytime heat wave values will be reached in a few departments, six in number.
