A return of cooler temperatures could well warm the hearts of the French. Unfortunately, the forecasts do not for the moment suggest a return to seasonal normals. If last week was still milder over most of the territory, this situation was only temporary.
Indeed, this Wednesday marks the return of a new heat peak in France. This Wednesday, August 24, temperatures should still exceed 30°C on the plain throughout the territory, with the exception of Brittany, Normandy, the Basque Country and the Côte d’Azur, reports Météo-France. In the south of Toulouse, temperatures of up to 35°C and 37°C were even expected.
This evening, if the temperatures go down throughout the territory, in certain departments the night is likely to be difficult. Up to 26°C are expected this night, which can therefore be qualified as tropical for part of France.
On the West Coast, rain and thunderstorms are expected and should intensify the difficulties in finding sleep for the people who live there. However, the water is not to be regretted since it could make it possible to fight against the drought which is at the origin of the phenomenon of tropical nights.
Temperatures will therefore be particularly high tonight in 31 departments where they will exceed 22°C, according to Météo-France forecasts for Wednesday August 24 at 2 p.m.
