A weather worthy of a month of July. This week, France experienced some of the most summery weather, with very mild temperatures for the month of October and exceptional sunshine for the season.

The summer extensions continue this Friday, October 21, 2022, since storms, violent winds and torrential rains will be there according to the forecasts of La Chaîne Météo.

The rise of hot and humid air over France is giving rise to a rainy-stormy episode which should continue until Saturday morning, from the Cévennes to the center-east of the country, via the Rhône valley.

Heavy rains are expected in the territory, “with intensities of up to 10 to 15 mm / h, and 5 to 10 mm / h elsewhere”. In the afternoon, some departments could receive accumulations of around 50 to 100mm, the equivalent of a month of rain in the plains.

“At altitude, the south wind blows strongly, with gusts reaching 100 to 110 km / h”, continues the site specializing in meteorology.

Rest assured: for the weekend of Saturday October 22 and Sunday October 23, 2022, the mild weather should remain with temperatures still above seasonal averages. “Regional nuances will be present, with a gust of wind expected in Brittany on Sunday. But overall, the feeling will be quite pleasant with beautiful clearings and a spring feeling”, concludes La Chaîne Météo.
