This summer of 2022 promises to be one of the hottest and driest that France has known. A hypothesis reinforced by the first half of August, also placed under the sign of the heat wave and the rainfall deficit.
This week, no heat wave on the program, but sometimes violent stormy episodes which could occur in the four corners of the country with temperatures still very heavy.
According to the forecasts of La Chaîne Météo, “in the afternoon, the maximum will be around 30°C from Alsace to the east of the Rhône and the Saône (…) In Corsica, the atmosphere could even become scorching and the 40°C reached due to Sirocco on Wednesday”. The expected thunderstorms could offer refreshments, however temporary.
According to the site specializing in meteorology, “these rains and stormy showers are nevertheless good news and will slow down the current drought a little”. These degradations begin this Tuesday August 16, 2022, and continue at least until Thursday 17… Sometimes without interruption.
