Winter has well and truly arrived. After a weekend with rather cool overall temperatures, this week presents a fairly similar climate and the temperatures are not rising. Indeed, only the south of the territory manages to have milder weather. This should also increase from Thursday, December 8, when morning temperatures should reach 14°C on Friday near Marseille and 9°C at the same time towards Biarritz.

In the rest of the territory, temperatures should remain quite similar in the coming days since we will be around 3°C in Paris on Wednesday and Thursday morning while in Vichy, 0°C will be reached over the same period.

However, if the winter climate this week should remain reasonable, temperatures could drastically drop with the arrival of the weekend. Indeed, from Saturday morning, almost all of the northern half of the country should experience negative temperatures with -2°C in Auxerre, Bourges or even Paris, and even -3°C in Rennes, Rouen and Reims.

But the coldest day should still be Sunday, December 11. That day, even the South will experience freshness with 0°C in Tarbes and Montpellier and even -2°C towards Toulouse.

However, beyond these low temperatures, it is also frost and fog that could take hold of an entire part of France. According to the forecasts of La Chaîne Météo on Tuesday December 6, freezing fog could thus be imposed in 40 departments from Wednesday December 7. Here is the list of those who should be concerned.
