Beware of the storm in the Iberian Peninsula. Since Tuesday June 6, 2023, a disturbance has been flying over the Portuguese and Spanish coasts, but also in the Canary Islands. According to our colleagues from the Midi Libre, “the depression will generate violent winds and torrential rains and could disrupt local life and affect transport in particular”. A phenomenon that should approach France, having an impact on the weather in France.

According to the regional daily, the foreign authorities are on the alert. “The Spanish weather forecast site fears episodes of ‘intense rain and wind in the archipelago between Tuesday June 6 and Wednesday June 7′”, specifies Le Midi Libre. On the side of the island of Madeira (Portugal), nearly 30 flights were canceled. And for good reason: the gusts of wind could reach up to 100km/h.

For the time being, no alert has been launched in France. If the storm, named Oscar, should not attack our coasts, the gale could bring bad weather to the territory. In particular, gusts of wind, heavy rain and stormy weather are expected. This phenomenon could be followed by several days of rain throughout the country. But where are the remnants of Storm Oscar likely to do the most damage? Discover the weather forecast in the most affected French cities in our slideshow below.
