The meteorological autumn has officially begun… And it could well be felt this week, with the drop in temperatures and the stormy episode looming on the horizon.

According to La Chaîne Météo, the first rumblings will be heard on the Cévennes side in the morning this Tuesday, September 6, 2022. After coming up on the Auvergne and Burgundy sides, the stormy wave will break out across the country in the evening. .

This stormy episode will be characterized, among other things, by significant accumulations of rain, “40 to 60 mm, locally 80 to 100 mm, the equivalent of more than a month of rain”, specifies the site specializing in meteorology.

But also by strong gusts of wind, which can reach up to 90km / h locally, a risk of hail, as well as a risk of floods and mudslides “under the most virulent stationary storms”.

In this sense, the majority of the country has been placed in yellow or orange vigilance for several reasons: violent winds, storms, rains, floods… Find out which measures concern you in your departments by consulting our slideshow below.
