A new adventure for Valérie Trierweiler. As Le Parisien announced in its pages last February, the journalist and former First Lady is part of the new season of Beijing Express: Duos de choc, broadcast this Wednesday, July 6 on M6. A special edition where several stars flew to Sri Lanka to participate in this race hosted by Stéphane Rotenberg.

To live this exceptional adventure, celebrities had the opportunity to take a loved one on board with them: spouse, friend, coach or co-worker. A new edition of Beijing Express: Shock Duos (12 years after the last season won by athlete Taïg Khris and his partner Chloé) which has its share of surprises in store for viewers and candidates, like Valérie Trierweiler. A fan of sporting challenges, the Big Heads columnist participated in the game with her best friend Karine Fournier.

“We have a huge complicity. She is my best friend. We have known each other for nineteen years”, she explained to Télé Star. Faithful to the program she followed “when my children were younger”, Valérie Trierweiler explains their friendship, confessing as an anecdote “to pronounce the same sentences at the same time. We never argue and we laugh a lot”.

However, the mother of Léonard Trierweiler could also have gone on an adventure with her spouse Romain Magellan. Unlike her competitor Rachel Legrain-Trapani (in tandem with her partner Valentin), she explained her choice not to try the experiment with the former rugby player. “Exactly, because Romain has not yet discovered all my faults!”, she quips in the face of our colleagues.

“Of course, he would have been a great partner and I wouldn’t have needed to do much. But Beijing Express is a program that is not easy to do as a couple. With Romain, we love to travel together”. It is not his travel photos, between Martinique and Hungary, that will contradict his statements on Instagram. However, Valérie Trierweiler did not feel comfortable revealing “our intimate life in front of millions of French people, it was not easy”, especially since the Martinican sports consultant “worked for the Six Nations Tournament” at the time of filming.

In a relationship since 2018, Valérie Trierweiler and Romain Magellan had before children born of their respective union and share their taste for travel and sporting challenges. The proof in pictures through our slideshow.
