Revelation of the latest film by Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, the actor Sofiane Bennacer, 25, was indicted last October in Mulhouse for acts of alleged rape on two former companions as well as on alleged violence on a third. As revealed by Le Parisien, this November 22, 2022, the young man was “placed under judicial supervision”, information confirmed to our colleagues by the public prosecutor of Mulhouse, Edwidge Roux-Morizot.
What do we know about this case? According to our colleagues, a complaint for rape would have been filed in early 2021 by one of the former companions of Sofiane Bennacer. The latter, who would be an “apprentice actress”, would have told “a relationship under the influence and harmful”. He would have “forced him to have an unwanted sexual relationship”. Three other former companions were heard by the gendarmes of the Strasbourg Research Section in charge of the investigation. The latter would also have described having lived a relationship “under the influence” with “relationships not consented”.
“There were two indictments for acts of rape” on two ex-companions and a third “indictment for violence against a spouse”, said the magistrate, reports Le Dauphiné. The actor would be banned from traveling to Paris, the Paris region, Strasbourg and Mulhouse. In addition, he “is also prohibited from meeting the complainants and witnesses, including Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi” who is heard as a witness in the file, report our colleagues, according to information from Parisian.
For her part, Sofiane Bennacer “contests everything”, the prosecutor of Mulhouse told AFP. The actor would also have filed a complaint for defamation against these accusers.
