There will be new rules in Mallorca in the future. The authorities want to take tougher action against vandalism, wild peeing and drinking. There will be a three-tier penalty system for this in the future.

According to the new catalog of standards, the fines will in future be divided into three levels. For a minor offense there is a fine of up to 750 euros, for a moderate offense up to 1500 euros and for a serious offense a fine of up to 3000 euros can be imposed.

The new fines apply throughout the city, including Ballermann. Serious offenses include vandalism and graffiti, but also public urination. The “Mallorca Zeitung” reports on this. Anyone who wants to do a little business on the street or spit on the street could face a fine of up to 3,000 euros.

The new regulations are expected to come into force in the coming weeks, just in time for the main season. However, there are no new rules for party tourists. In the future, the police should take tougher measures at Ballermann, Santa Catalina and the Paseo MarĂtimo and punish people who drink more often. In these cases, a distinction should be made between moderate and serious offenses.
