(Brussels) The Belgian singer Stromae, currently on tour, announced on Tuesday the cancellation of all his concerts until the end of May for health reasons, in a press release posted on social networks.

“I must resign myself to the fact that my health unfortunately does not allow me to continue to meet you for the moment,” he wrote to his fans, in a message broadcast in particular on Twitter.

The 38-year-old singer, who has previously suffered from depression, did not specify the medical reasons for these new cancellations which concern 15 show dates across Europe.

Currently on a European tour to promote his album Multitude, released a year ago, he had already canceled six concert dates in the past two weeks.

“I share this news with you with great regret and deep sadness, but I have to listen to my limits,” he said Tuesday.

“Surrounded by my family, I have to take the time to recover to resume, when I can, the rest of the concerts,” he explained.

“I hope to give you more positive news as soon as possible. I can’t wait to see you again to finish this tour,” added Stromae.

The artist was back on stage in the summer of 2022 after a long period of absence caused by depression, escorted by “suicidal thoughts” which he had narrated bluntly in his title Hell.
