(Sydney) Germany won their ticket to the semi-finals of the United Cup on Friday by beating Greece (2-1) after the mixed doubles.

The pair Laura Siegemund/Alexander Zverev dominated the duo Maria Sakkari/Petros Tsitsipas, the brother of Stefanos, in just under 1h30, 6-3, 6-3.

Earlier on Friday, Alexander Zverev beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-4 in singles to tie the two countries.

In the women’s singles, it was Sakkari who won 6-0, 6-3 against the German Angelique Kerber.

Germany will meet Australia in the semi-final on Saturday, while the other half will pit Poland against France.
