unemployment in the state of Hesse has been in the year 2018, the lowest since 1992. As the regional Directorate of Hessen, the Federal Agency reported for work on Friday in Frankfurt, were in the average annual 154.340 people without a Job.
“for 2019, we expect a further reduction in unemployment,” said the head of the regional Directorate Hesse, Frank Martin. “There are currently no indications that we will experience in the foreseeable future, a collapse of the stable economic development in the state of Hesse.”
In December 2018 144.774 people in Hessen were registered as unemployed. The unemployment rate was 4.3 percent, the lowest December rate since the year 1980. In December 2017, it had been 4.7 percent.
