A final farewell to Jane Birkin in music. Four months after the death of the 76-year-old singer, a tribute concert has just been announced at the initiative of her friend Etienne Daho and Jean-Louis Piérot. A musical event which will take place on February 3, 2024 on the Olympia stage in Paris.
For this concert entitled “Jane Birkin by Friends”, more than twenty artists will cover the hits of the Franco-British artist. Singers, actors, musicians… They will all unite their voices in chorus and perform the pieces of the one who published her latest opus, Oh! Sorry, you were sleeping, in 2020.
In addition, the profits collected during the concert will be donated to Restos du coeur. A gesture reminiscent of Jane Birkin’s investment in the association founded by Coluche. In January 2023, Serge Gainsbourg’s ex-partner, already weakened, made a notable appearance with the Enfoirés troupe for their annual show in Lyon.
