Travel to Europe: 14 countries where you shouldn’t drink tap water

Balkans, Scandinavia, Baltic countries… Europe is full of regions and countries as different as each other. Each of them has a unique culture and landscapes to the delight of travelers.

As the summer season approaches, many French people choose to visit countries all over Europe. This type of trip usually requires a lot of organization and there are many things to consider to avoid any problems.

Passport, insurance, phone plan, all these details should not be neglected without which the holidays could well fall into the water.

In addition to this, there is also the health aspect that must be taken into account. Thus, the potability of water is a detail that should not be overlooked. If in France tap water can be drunk without fear on almost all of the territory, this is far from being the case in all countries.

Indeed, according to a 2019 study by the Centers for Disease Control, a public health organization in the United States, there are still 187 countries in which tourists should avoid consuming tap water, reports Health Magazine.

Within the European continent, there are fourteen where travelers should be particularly careful. If you plan to travel to one of these countries, plan to buy bottled water locally to avoid contracting an infection such as turista.
