The French consumed fewer vegetables in 2021 than in 2020. According to Kantar data published by FranceAgriMer, households bought an average of 82.28 kg in 2021, i.e. 3.2% less than the year former. Among the favorite vegetables of the French, we find:

On the other hand, be careful not to store your tomatoes next to your cucumbers, eggplants, broccoli, cabbage or even mushrooms. Indeed, they “produce a lot of ethylene, a substance that accelerates the aging process of other vegetables and fruits”, reports the website Bien de chez nous.
