The organization of Just for Laughs will present Just for Chill, a show that is a marriage between laughter and rap, on the Beneva outdoor stage, starting at 9:15 p.m. “When comedy and rap intersect on a stage, you quickly realize that these two arts have a lot more similarities than you think,” argues Just for Laughs.
Yvon Deschamps will turn a page of history this Thursday by participating in the ultimate Just for Laughs gala. And to say goodbye to this concept that marked the festival for 30 years, the father of Quebec humor will be very well surrounded. From Daniel Lemire to Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais via Louis-José Houde, Mariana Mazza, Martin Matte and Rosalie Vaillancourt, all generations of comedians will be reunited. Kept secret when the program was announced, the names of the artists who will take part in this last gala were revealed this Thursday by the organization. In all, 29 comedians will take the stage. The public will be able to reconnect with the days of Laughing Saturday thanks to the participation of Pauline Martin, Normand Chouinard, Normand Brathwaite and Michèle Deslauriers. The next generation will also be well represented with Neev, Mona de Grenoble and Maude Landry. Boucar Diouf, Cathy Gauthier, Guillaume Pineault, Korine Côté, François Léveillée, Laurent Paquin, Louis T, Mélanie Couture, Patrick Huard, Philippe-Audrey Larrue-St-Jacques, Sam Breton, Simon Gouache, Stéphane Fallu, Sylvie Tourigny and Virginie Fortin complete the guest list. Proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Yvon Deschamps Centre-Sud Foundation, which supports thousands of young people in this Montreal neighborhood.
