It’s time to get swooned again, even though the fanfare this year was somewhat muted.

Many weddings were delayed last year. However, 2021 saw many celebrities tie the knot, largely in intimate events that took place months later.

TODAY wanted to propose! Celebrity weddings throughout the year are shared so that we all can see that love is possible, even during a pandemic.

Sarah Snook, Dave Lawson

According to Vogue Australia , the “Succession” actor, aged 34, married comedian and TV host Lawson (43), sometime in February. She claimed they had been friends since 2014 but were “totally platonic.” She reported that they had been living together during COVID-19.

Nicolas Cage, and Riko Shibata

On February 16, 2007, the “Pig” actor, , married Shibata (27), in a small and intimate ceremony at Wynn Las Vegas. Cage’s rep told TODAY that they chose the date to honor the father of the groom. They used both Shinto and Catholic vows and included Haiku and Walt Whitman poems. Alice, Cage’s ex-wife, and Kal, their 16-year-old son, were present.

Aubrey Plaza, Jeff Baena

Plaza, 37, announced that she was married to Baena, 44. She posted a picture of them together on Instagram and noted that they were currently working on “Spin Me Round,” their new film. Some of her co-stars and friends were surprised to learn that it was a private, intimate ceremony. Mary Steenburgen, who Plaza starred opposite, wrote in the comments: “Just took in husband and I am sending both love, congratulations, and blessings

Ariana Grande, and Dalton Gomez

Pop star Grande, 28 married Gomez (26), in a “tiny, intimate” ceremony. Her rep said that the couple confirmed their engagement in May. They had been engaged for five month. People magazine reported that they got married at their Montecito home. The rep said that the room was filled with love and happiness, adding that less than 20 people were present.

Sofia Pernas, Justin Hartley

The couple, who used to be actors on “The Young and the Restless,” married in May. However, few details are available. People magazine reported Hartley (“This Is Us”) was 44 and Pernas (“Blood and Treasure”) 32. They were both seen on the red carpet at the 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards wearing wedding rings. Page Six also saw them in Malibu in California in May wearing wedding bands.

Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton

Stefani (52 years) and Shelton (45 years) were together for more than five decades. They got married on July 3, at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. Around 40 people attended the ceremony in a chapel Shelton built for Stefani at the ranch. Carson Daly, TODAY’s resident officiant, was present. Stefani wrote, “Dreams can come true,” in the caption of an Instagram photo that was posted a few days later. It showed the couple dressed in full bride-and groom attire, looking out over a cliff.

Issa R and Louis Diame

It was all glamour for Rae, 36-year-old star of “Insecure”, and Louis Diame, 38-year-old businessman , who were married at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, south France, over the July 24-27 weekend. Rae shared the news via an Instagram post, showing off her custom-made Vera Wang gown. Diame wore a custom red velvet Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo, Vogue confirmed.

Grace Gummer, Mark Ronson

Gummer is Meryl Streep’s daughter and an actor. Gummer, who is both the daughter of Meryl Streep and an actor in her own right (“Mr. Robot”) married DJ Mark Ronson on Sept. 4. The ceremony took place in New York. It was supposed to have been a larger affair but COVID concerns forced it to be cut down, reported Page Six. Ronson wrote in the caption of a series of Instagram photos that Ronson shared.

Lena Dunham, Luis Felber

Dunham, the creator of “Girls”, and Felber, a British-Peruvian singer, were married on Sept. 25, , as she reported on Instagram. Their relationship began in 2021. The Union Club, Soho, London was the venue for the ceremony. Taylor Swift, reported Vogue, were her bridesmaids. Three custom-made dresses were worn by her by Christopher Kane.

Keshia knight Pulliam and Brad James

According to an Instagram post by the former actor of “Pride and Prejudice, Altanta”, the couple were married in September. Pulliam, 42 years old, wrote, “I married my best friends at hour home surrounded with family & it was magic .” James, 40, starred in Tyler Perry’s “For Better or Worse” . He also posted photos to his Instagram and wrote, “I love your eternally.”

Elisabeth Rohm and Peter Glatzer

The former “Law & Order” actor Rohm and Glatzer (producer/hotel developer) tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in their Los Angeles home on Oct. 5, according to the New York Times. The news was also shared on Instagram by the couple, who also shared photos from their wedding day. In the caption, she wrote that they were beyond happy and blessed to have been married to Peter Glatzer. In January 2022, a large party is planned for around 150 people. However, the first ceremony was intimate in order to address pandemic concerns.

Adam DeVine, Chloe Bridges

Adam DeVine (37), and Chloe Bridges (29), have been together for six years. They were married in Cabo San Lucas Mexico on October 9. Many of his “Workaholics” co-stars were there to witness the ceremony, including Blake Anderson, Erik Griffin, and Anders Holm. The pair met while on their way to film “The Final Girls” in 2015.

Christina Ricci, Mark Hampton

Christina Ricci, 41, married Mark Hampton, 37, less than two months after she announced that she was expecting a baby. Hampton did tag Ricci’s wedding day photo with the words “Los Angeles” but further details were not available. Friends including Kelly Ripa and Kat Dennings, as well as Christian Siriano, posted their congratulations in the caption.

Roger Waters, Kamilah Chavis

Waters, 78-year-old Pink Floyd singer, married Chavis, his longtime girlfriend, on October 13 at his Bridgehampton estate in New York. He wrote in an Instagram caption, while sharing photos from his wedding day.

Jesse McCartney, Katie Peterson

McCartney, 34, married Katie Peterson (33), in Carmel, California. Their dog served as their flower girl. People heard from that the moment of McCartney’s “Beautiful Soul” singer said, “I think the moment of settling down at the altar and watching her come down is going be pretty special.”

Tarek Al Moussa, Heather Rae Young

El Moussa (40), host of “Flipping 101”, married Young (34) on Oct. 23, near Santa Barbara, California. The ceremony was filmed to film a special for Netflix called “Tarek and Heather”: The Big I Do. El Moussa had Taylor, 11 and Brayden (6 years old) as part of the ceremony. was shared many times on social media.

Paris Hilton, Carter Reum

Ty Pennington (“Trading Spaces”, “Extreme Makeover Home Edition” host), and Kellee Merrell (social media manager), got married. The news was announced on Instagram on Nov. 28. Pennington, 57, shared an image from the event that showed Pennington smiling while standing in front a vintage white convertible. He captioned the photo, “We did it.” People magazine stated that the ceremony took place in Savannah, Georgia with eight guests at their 19th Century home.
