Twenty players have been shortlisted for the Golden Boy Award, an award for the best footballer under the age of 21 in Europe. The Italian sports Tuttosport has made the names of the candidates for the 2019 at the latest (from a year of ‘99) on Tuesday announced on its web site.

The Golden Boy Award, since 2003, we have been awarded. An international panel of judges from the voetbaljournalisten to choose the winner. Impressive names on the roll of honour include, inter alia, Rafael Van der Vaart (2003), Wayne Rooney (2004), Lionel Messi (2005), The Decision (In 2006), The Aguëro (2007), A Mario in His (2010), Paul Pogba (2013), Raheem Sterling (2014), and Kylian Mbappé (2017).

Not a few of the Belgian pulled out of the selection process. It was in the past used to be the case for, among others, Youri Tielemans, Romelu Lukaku, Thibaut Courtois, Zakaria Bakkali, Adnan Januzaj, Divock Origi and Jason Denayer.
