The young Italian Larissa Iapichino , turning 18 next Saturday, jumped 6,80 meters this Thursday in long jump in the rally of Savona (in the north) and signed the second best brand of Italy of all times , behind only 7,11 made by her mother, Fiona May.

Iapichino, who was born in Borgo San Lorenzo (Florence center) in 2002, signed the record for the Italian u-20 and the level of the absolute just ahead of their mother, all a flag of the athletics Italian , who was able to jump 7,11 in 1998.

The young athlete, improved in 16 centimetres to his previous personal record, which was 6,64.

“I’m happy, but there are still many things to improve. Although, as they all say, I’m still a girl.

This is a good gift pre-birthday, since this Saturday I will turn 18 , ” said Iapichino, in a statement provided by the Italian athletics Federation.

“I think in fun and even more big I will continue living the athletics as a game ” continued the young athlete Italian.

In the rally of Savona also registered an excellent performance from Andrew Pozzi in the 110 meter hurdles, finishing in 13,33 seconds, and Filippo Tortu, who won the 100 meters in 10.12 seconds.
