The most powerful passports in the world in 2022

What will the holidays of French women and men look like? Many tourists from France have considered, after several summers undermined by the global pandemic of coronavirus Covid-19, a departure abroad. Some, explains Ouest France on its site, have already chosen their dream destination (not forgetting, of course, those who are probably there already). Most of the time, when it comes to leaving the country’s borders, vacationers often choose Spain. But this is not the only desired destination.

In fact, informs the director of the independent consulting firm Protourisme Didier Arino, other countries are regularly acclaimed. There is Italy, Greece, Portugal, but also the Maghreb countries such as Morocco or Tunisia, he declares to the microphones of our colleagues. They are all experiencing “a pretty strong, post-pandemic recovery.” That being said, for each nation not belonging to the European area, French men and women will have to show their passport during the trip. Unsurprisingly, it is Russia that shows the biggest drop in the ranking for the year 2022. It falls to 50th position, its passport only allowing you to open the door to 119 countries, without a visa. Ukraine, for its part, has a total of 144 countries, notes Capital on its site.
