with No progress. Thus ended yesterday, the new negotiation for the extension of the FATE of force majeure, the figure that is holding the job since the Government banned the layoffs objectives and to activate this adjustment formula to sustain employment. The Executive has returned to reject the proposal agreed by the social partners to replicate this scheme until 30 September , as a step to a new extension that would reach the end of the year.

The main focus of conflict is the one proposed by the minister of Social Security, José Luis Escrivá , in favour of maintaining the coverage to workers, but to go to decreasing that of the companies. He argues that there is go by reducing the exemptions to the quotas progressively in July, August and September, and striving for the reinstatement of working day in front of the maintenance of the suspension. This scheme is rejected outright by the companies.

The vice-president of the CEOE, Lorenzo Love, has told ABC that it makes no sense to cut the incentives to the workers are with the job suspended and prioritise the reinstatement of workers in a situation like the current one, in which there is assured demand, factor capital for the resumption of the activity . Remember that if a company wants to hire is because you can do it.

“Now it is key to keep the aids” , he said.

The Government has argued that workers who remain in ERTE, in businesses that have less than 50 employees, the exemption in July out of the 35% , in August of 25%, and in September of 15% . If the company exceeds 50 employees, the exemptions were reduced to 20%, 10% and 5% for the respective months. This was a strong reduction , because in the ERTE by force majeure of march we established a rebate of 75% for companies with more than 50 workers and 100% for those that had less than 50 workers.

These exemptions were maintained in may and June, although it set new percentages for the ERTE that incorporated workers. The exemptions were located in between the 45% and 85% for workers who return between may and June. Also, those percentages are reduced in the proposal Monday. Companies with less than 50 workers would have a rebate of 60% on July, 50% in August and 40% in September; while the larger size is moved between the 35%, 25% and 15%.
