The Canadian announced Thursday afternoon the emergency recall of striker Lucas Condotta.

His recall means that a CH player who took part in Wednesday’s game against the Islanders will not be available Thursday night to face the Bruins. We should know more during Martin St-Louis’ press briefing at the end of the afternoon.

Like Joël Teasdale on Wednesday, Condotta should therefore live his baptism of the NHL. The 25-year-old Ontarian has 30 points (16 goals, 14 assists) in 71 games this season with the Rocket.

Condotta, a 6-foot-1, 209-pound colossus, was never drafted. He signed a contract with the Canadiens last spring, as a free agent, after four seasons at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell.
