The Prius Prime finds itself alone in its segment. Nevertheless, Toyota considers that the Prius Prime could prove to be just as “clean” as an electric vehicle. Therefore, Mazda’s MX-30, with a claimed range of 200 km, appears as a potential rival. For daily trips (from home to work, for example), it’s fine, but the Mazda can’t do much more. The hope of attaching a (rotary) gasoline engine to its electric thruster is no longer relevant for North American consumers, confirms its manufacturer.
