The list of Versa competitors is pretty slim. Only the Kia Rio and the Mitsubishi Mirage remain.

The Kia offers increased versatility (five-door), with a slightly higher price than the Versa, but it has better residual value. What’s more, the little South Korean car benefits from a more generous basic warranty (5 years/100,000 km compared to 3 years/60,000 km). Added to this, from the entry-level model, a more extensive list of features and a more rewarding presentation. Two aspects that provide an advantage over the Versa. In terms of dynamic performance, the Rio does little better than the Nissan.

This is a vehicle that lives up to its name. Indeed, the mirage fades very quickly when you slip behind the wheel. The three-cylinder engine that drives it struggles to the task and does not hesitate to let it be heard. The heading is random, the chassis has difficulty containing body movements and the steering totally lacks feeling. However, this Mitsubishi proves to be more frequentable as long as it stays away from the expressways. Its low consumption, its attractive price and above all its generous warranty make it a local model in a constrained budgetary context.
