Like every year in the spring, the time for the tax declaration has arrived. Since April 13, 2023, taxpayers can go to their impots.gouv personal space to consult their tax slip. It must be validated within the time allowed by the fiscal calendar. Depending on your department, here is your due date:

According to aufeminin, the tax return of one out of 6 French people is pre-filled automatically. However, the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGFiP) does not have access to some of your data. It is therefore imperative that you fill them in yourself at the risk of missing errors in your tax sheet.

However, incorrectly filling out your declaration can have consequences on your due. Forgetting to declare part of your income exposes you to a tax adjustment and a lump sum compensation equivalent to 10% of the tax due.

Not declaring your income correctly can also distort the calculation of your reference tax income (RFR). However, depending on its level, you can claim devices such as the Pinel law, scholarships, exemption from housing tax, etc.
