Investigation Underway for Suspects in Markham Attempted Murder Case

Authorities from the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a recent shooting incident in Markham. The incident took place on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at around 10:30 p.m. at a residence on Lee Avenue, near Kennedy Road and 14th Avenue.

Upon receiving reports of a man being shot outside the residence, police officers rushed to the scene and found the victim with injuries. Immediate first aid was provided to the victim before being taken to a trauma center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The investigators believe that the shooting was a targeted attack, as there were several individuals present at the location during the incident.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has relevant video footage, such as dashcam or surveillance recordings, to come forward and assist with the investigation. A white sedan was reportedly seen leaving the scene following the shooting.
