A new way of consuming. Propelled by the health crisis, online shopping has a bright future ahead of it. According to a Yougov* survey, 9 out of 10 consumers said they had purchased at least one product online between January 2020 and 2021.
“In more detail, 41% say they made purchases in the week preceding the survey, a figure driven up by women (47%) and 25-34 year olds (51%)”, explains the company surveys and market research. The most purchased products on the Internet are clothing, shoes and accessories (58%), cultural products (47%), and finally high-tech products and household appliances (39%).
An observation that does not leave physical stores indifferent: the latter are doubling their imagination to continue to retain their customers. Some brands, as evidenced by a TF1 report, use good old-fashioned “old-fashioned” marketing methods to attract customers.
Micro entertainers, shopping vouchers, 100% winning games… The goal is to create an atmosphere and generate traffic for the shops in the shopping centers. On the supermarket shelves, customers seem satisfied: “As soon as they there is an offer, we try!”, exclaims one of them at the microphone of our colleagues. Everything is done so that the customer, by exceeding money, has the impression of earning it.
