On the weekend of May 19, 2023, Lidl launched its e-commerce site in France. The German brand is diversifying by now offering a large number of non-food products. Initially scheduled for June 1, the interface was already put online last week. Discover in our slideshow below the new categories of the site.

During a press conference on May 22, Michel Biero, Executive Purchasing Director at Lidl France, declared that he wanted to “go even further to offer the Lidl experience to as many people as possible. What better way than the web to reach those who don’t know us yet or don’t have a Lidl supermarket near them?”.

So what’s special about their new site?

The brand, ranked among the 10 favorites of the French, will add products as it goes. Indeed, 2,000 non-food products will be available on the site by July. “5,000 are planned by the end of the year, in the form of one-off or permanent offers,” added Michel Biero. Food from a warehouse located in Rosendaal in the Netherlands should have a delivery time of 2 to 4 days, according to information collected by AFP with the Huffington Post.

Among the new categories, we find the “Fashion” section, which does not contain many articles for the moment. For Arnaud Girard, e-commerce manager at Lidl France, “this new commercial offer should further increase its attendance, while developing the notoriety of the brand”. Will you be seduced by these new offers? Find out with our slideshow below where you will find all the categories now available on the site.
