The 60-year-old singer posted a photo of himself on a boat, staring at the horizon, Monday August 15, 2022. “Everything is going very well!” commented the artist currently on vacation on the shores of the Aegean Sea. The publication of Florent Pagny strongly reacted to his fans but also personalities like Nikos Aliagas, Carla Bruni, M Pokora or Amel Bent.
Last January, the emblematic coach of The Voice revealed his illness in a video also posted on Instagram. He had then suspended his anniversary tour to embark on a treatment protocol. On May 10, the interpreter of Savoir Aimer appeared on social networks very thin and transformed by his first chemotherapy sessions.
“The protocol worked rather well since from the first two chemo-immunotherapies, my tumor which was as big as a kiwi turned into a nut, so right away we started heavy with radiotherapy and more intensive chemo” , had then explained Florent Pagny. “When all that is a little reabsorbed, we will be able to know a little more about the results, but we are very confident”.
In early August, the singer had already appeared in good shape in a snapshot shared by chef Pascal Jounault. “Mr. Florent Pagny is having lunch with the family at the brasserie this afternoon. A fine gourmet… he is on top!”, had commented the cook of the LIPP brasserie in Paris.
A few days earlier, it was Eric Serra who had given news of his friend in the columns of Parisian. The composer indeed fell ill at the same time as Florent Pagny and was able to benefit from his support during the chemotherapy sessions. “Casing nothing, this complicity did me a lot of good, and I imagine that to him too,” confided Eric Serra. “Florent is particularly positive. Florent Pagny put his career on hold after winning the last season of The Voice with the young Nour. He hopes to be back on stage in the next few months. “I’m going to finish the chemo, then I’ll go get stronger, thicker, and then if all goes well, we’ll meet again next year to finish what I started, so it’s going to be called ‘La tour des 61′”, he warned in May.
