Strike of the security forces: operation at Frankfurt airport is running smoothly again

After the end of the Strike, the private security people operating at Frankfurt airport is back to normal. The security checks were busy on Wednesday in the regular scope, the operator Fraport. The day before had been cancelled due to the Strikes of the trade unions Verdi and DBB 618 flights, and thus a good half of the planned program. According to initial estimates, the Fraport 70,000 passengers were affected. Around 700 pieces of Luggage were stranded because of the strike and should be brought on Wednesday to the goal.

On Tuesday it had given to 20.00, only security checks for transit passengers in the transit area, while in Frankfurt first of all, no one a new flight could begin. After the end of the strike there was on Tuesday evening, around 50 take-offs, approaches which around 8,000 passengers in Frankfurt. For this Wednesday, are planned to operate at the largest German airport 1.270 take-offs and landings with a total of around 150.000 pass. The collective bargaining for the private security forces will be continued next Wednesday in Berlin.
