CALLOWAY COUNTY KY. (KFVS – The severe storms that swept through Calloway County Monday morning, December 6, caused extensive damage to the southwest and east of Murray. 

According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office Outland School Road has been closed due to numerous utility poles being downed in the county’s eastern portion.

According to the sheriff’s office, it is possible that structures on Cherokee Trail or Rayburn Road might be damaged. In the vicinity, several utility poles were also downed.

These two areas are being accessed by the Calloway County Emergency Management Agency.

At 7 a.m., all downed trees and other debris in the rest of the county had been removed.

Calloway County and Graves County were issued a tornado warning at 3:30 AM on Monday.

According to the sheriff’s office, there have been no reports of injuries.

Calloway County Schools announced on social media that classes were cancelled Monday due to storm damage and power outages. This is not a Non-Traditional Instruction day.
