The passion for music seems to be transmitted from generation to generation. While Jean-Jacques Goldman is now a legend of French music, his son Michael has never strayed from this field.

He is, in fact, a producer in his own label MyMajorCompany, which manages, among others, the careers of Grégoire or Joyce Jonathan. Michael Goldman has thus been able to create his own path and would today be the final choice of TF1 to become the director of the Star Academy, reveals Le Parisien.

The famous tele-hook is about to return to the screens and, for this new version, TF1 has decided to appoint a new faculty and therefore a new personality to manage the famous castle.

Several files have thus been studied to designate the successor of Alexia Laroche-Joubert, who has held this role five times. Among the candidates were Saïd Boussif, founder of Indifférence Prod and producer of Vitaa, Slimane, Amel Bent and Gims. Jackie Lombard, a producer who has worked with music giants such as Elton John, Madonna, Beyoncé, Adele and the Rolling Stones, was also approached by the channel.

Other applications were also studied but, in the end, the choice was obvious, according to a source from Le Parisien: “Once the name was mentioned, it was obvious, well aware of the negotiations around this new Star Academy He’s 43 years old, he knows the music world like the back of his hand, he’s excited about the project, he looks good… And then the name Goldman, that’s bound to help, let’s face it!”

For the time being, the final signing of the contract has not yet taken place but, according to our colleagues, the decision was taken a few days ago.
