(St. Louis) Defenseman Torey Krug will miss the start of St. Louis Blues training camp, club general manager and president of hockey operations Doug Armstrong announced Tuesday.

Krug, 32, injured his right foot while training for the 2023-24 season. The Blues press release does not specify the circumstances or the seriousness of Krug’s injury.

The veteran’s state of health will be re-evaluated on October 1, it was clarified.

Krug begins his fourth season with the Blues.

The Livonia, Michigan native scored 85 goals and 359 assists in 701 regular-season NHL games with the Boston Bruins and Blues.

Krug was never drafted into the NHL.
