For the actress who celebrates her 42nd birthday this Saturday, her career has taken an incredible turn thanks to television. Since 2019, she has been the heroine of the police soap opera in Criminal Tropics broadcast on France 2.
In the pages of Télé 7 jours, the former beauty queen Sonia Rolland presented her character. “I play Mélissa Sainte-Rose, a police commander who arrives in Martinique. Although my roots are local, I feel completely left out, because I grew up in the metropolis”. A heroine who shares the bill with Captain Gaëlle Crivelli, played by actress Béatrice de La Boulaye.
If their collaboration is far from being a success at their beginnings, the two female cops get to know each other and establish a friendly relationship over the seasons. Asked about the Télé-Loisirs site, Sonia Rolland revealed some intrigues of the next part. “Season 4 is about coming of age,” says Tess and Kahina’s mom. “She’s interesting because Mélissa infiltrates a criminal network, with Cyril, and she plays a role different from her personality. We start the season with two episodes that follow each other, it’s the first time. I play a completely crazy character , it’s super fun.”
As for her on-screen partner Béatrice de La Boulaye, she declares to our colleagues. “We have finished filming season 4”, before announcing. “We are preparing season 5, which we are going to shoot in April”.
