(Montreal) The finalists for the country’s player of the year titles were revealed by Soccer Canada on Thursday.
Jonathan David (Lille), Alphonso Davies (Bayern Munich) and Stephen Eustaquio (FC Porto) are finalists for the men’s title, while Ontarians Cloé Lacasse, Jessie Fleming and Ashley Lawrence could win this honor for the women.
Davies has earned the honor in the last three years, and four times in the last five, while Fleming won player of the year in 2021 and 2022.
The co-winners, who each represent their national team, will be announced on Friday.
Former CF Montreal player Ismaël Koné and Ontarian Jade Rose were named young players of the year by Soccer Canada on Wednesday.
