Annual salary negotiations will begin on Wednesday, December 7 at the SNCF. To make their demands heard, the CGT-Cheminot, SUD-Rail and CFDT unions have called on all staff to participate in a “unitary strike” movement.

This may affect the running of some regional trains. As our colleagues from Figaro report, cancellations could even occur in some cases on the TGVs as well as the Intercités.

On the Paris-Lyon TGV axis, a local movement of SNCF network switchers could cause more disruption and there may be more cancellations. In all cases, the SNCF indicates that the travelers concerned will be informed by email or SMS in the event of cancellation. Despite this, it is still advisable to check the circulation of trains this Tuesday, December 6 from 5 p.m.

In the event of cancellation, however, SNCF ensures that customers will be fully reimbursed before the scheduled departure time or will be able to exchange for any of the trains maintained, provided that there is space available.

Other strikes are to be expected in the days to come since notices have already been given for the weekends of the end of the year holidays. It is therefore better to keep informed in the days that follow if you have trips planned.

For now, the TER network should also be impacted tomorrow, but only in certain French regions. Check out the full list in our slideshow.
