(London) Comedian Russell Brand was questioned a second time by police investigating allegations of sexual offences, British media reported on Monday.
The 48-year-old was questioned last week in relation to six “non-recent” allegations, the Press Association news agency reported. Brand was encountered by police in November in connection with three other allegations.
London Metropolitan Police did not identify Brand, but said in a statement that a man in his 40s visited a south London police station a second time on December 14.
British police do not name suspects who have not been arrested or charged.
In September, British media published claims by four women that they were sexually assaulted and raped by Brand between 2006 and 2013, at the height of his fame. The accusers have not been named.
The comedian, author and Get Him To The Greek actor has denied the allegations, saying his relationships were “always consensual.”
Two British police forces, the Metropolitan Police and Thames Valley Police, opened investigations into Russell Brand after the allegations were made public. The BBC, where Brand worked on radio shows from 2006 to 2008, also launched an investigation into his behavior.
