Serena Williams has signed a deal with Amazon Studios under which she’ll produce scripted and non-scripted programming, such as a docuseries that follows her exploits on and off the court, the tennis celebrity said Tuesday.
Williams made the statement in a dialogue with actor Michael B. Jordan which was a part of a charitable event arranged by Vanity Fair magazine.
The 39-year-old Williams, who ranks second one time with 23 Grand Slam singles titles, stated she expects to”bring very special tales to movie, and also to people’s houses.”
Williams, that has restricted her program in the last several years due to injuries and the birth of her daughter, hasn’t played since she dropped from the Australian Open semifinals at February into Naomi Osaka, who proceeded to win the title.
