The influx of people to Germany continues to fall. This applies both to the Migration for educational purposes (such as studying), and employment, as well as for the asylum seekers. This is found in the migration report of the Federal office for Migration and refugees (Bamf) for the years 2016 and 2017 and the balance sheet of the asylum events for the year 2018. Both reports were presented in Berlin on Wednesday by interior Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) and the Bamf-President Hans-Eckhard summer.

In each of the said Seehofer on the agreement of the European Union with Turkey to limit the refugee inflow, at the closing of the Balkan Route, and the statutory Changes to limit and control the Migration. It had been made “in a remarkably good way”, the Balance between humanity and control.

In the asylum policy is, however, still a lot of work, for example in the field of Integration. Seehofer stressed that further efforts for the creation of a European asylum to be right. The Federal Minister of the interior, showed himself in this respect, however, skeptical. He did not think that it is “coming in the foreseeable future”. That is “far away”.
