The sailing in the Community of Madrid is set in motion. With all the security measures and maintaining all the protocols established by the Directorate General of Sports of the Community, the Real Club Náutico de Madrid hosted this past weekend the first race, after the return to the new normal, celebrating the Autonomic of the class Soling in which he participated, with the bulk of the fleet with 13 vessels, under conditions of wind quite acceptable in general terms that enabled us to complete a total of 4 tests.

The ‘new’ Sanbo, Carlos Elósegui, counting on his crew with Cuco Gómez and Juan Ramón Jiménez, was with the territorial title of the class Soling at the mercy of the partial 3-2-1-2, adding up to a total of 8 points. The second place went to the boat Guide II, led by Alfonso Colón de Carvajal, completing the team with Manuel Allo and Jorge de la Nuez, staying 3 points of Sambo. Only the 8th place in the 3rd test them away from achieving the title, as in the other three tests managed to take the win in each of them.

The podium was completed with Bondi, with the triplet formed by Mikel Álvarez, Guillermo Parodi and Alejandro Ablático. The boat of Alvarez started with a modest 7th place, improving on the three following tests: 3-2-4, adding up to a total of 16 points, 5 for the second and 8 in the first place.

The yacht of Madrid, on the other hand, continues its way into your ‘new normal’ in terms of their sports calendar and in regard to the evidence of the Federation Madrileña de Vela, since after the territorial Soling, the club hosts this coming weekend, 4th and 5th of July, the Autonomous regional of the class Snipe. Also goes back to the “normal” Club Náutico Cervera. In the waters of the Atazar will be held on Saturday, July 4, the Autonomic Cruise.

The Federation, for its part, is working to restructure the calendar, which was paralyzed after the proclamation of the alarm state to be able to celebrate and embrace the tests of the autonomous community that were deferred by the pandemic of the Covid-19.
