Rovio, SEGA, and Prime Focus Studios Team Up for ‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’ – DNEG

In an exciting announcement today, Rovio Entertainment Corporation, SEGA, and DNEG Animation’s CEO Namit Malhotra’s production company Prime Focus Studios revealed that they are collaborating on the production of The Angry Birds Movie 3. This upcoming film, the 8th animated feature from DNEG Animation, will be a joint effort with One Cool Group, Flywheel Media, and dentsu.

Directed by John Rice, known for his work on Angry Birds and Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe, The Angry Birds Movie 3 will continue the adventures of beloved characters Red and Chuck, voiced by Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad respectively. The film aims to build on the global success of the Angry Birds franchise, with the first installment topping box offices in 50 countries upon its release in 2016.
