Ric Flair, the “Nature Boy”, announced that he and Wendy Barlow were getting a divorce. Flair and Barlow were wed in 2018. The Hall of Famer revealed the couple’s separation via Twitter. He said that after trying for a while to be apart, they finally decided to separate. This will be Ric Flair’s fifth divorce.

Flair posted a message to Twitter that reads: “After some time apart, Wendy and I have decided to go our separate ways. Please respect our privacy and our families during this time! I will cherish and treasure all of our memories together for ever, and I will forever be grateful for everything she has done to make my life better.

After she was positive for COVID-19, Flair and Barlow made headlines back in 2020. He told The New York Post that his wife has the virus ]… and lives in a home of 5,000 square feet. I live in basement. She lives upstairs, on the third floor. She got sick.”

After a Dark Side of the Ring episode recapped the 2002 “Plane Ride From Hell”, Flair became the focus of controversy. Ric Flair was accused of sexual harassment by an attendant on a flight. Flair issued a statement following the airing.
“I allowed my personal and family life to be turned upside-down for one reason: It doesn’t matter if it’s bad or good, but the truth must matter. Even in wrestling. Over my 40+ years of professional wrestling, I have documented many of my issues. I have been repeatedly told about the effects of excessive drinking, which nearly killed me five years ago. Rory (Karpf director of the 30 For 30 documentary Nature Boy), or anyone else, has never heard of me forcing myself onto ANYONE. It never happened.

Then he gave a second declaration in which he admitted that some of the accusations were true, but denied ever being inappropriate for the flight attendant.

To clarify, the “helicopter”, as it was known, is correct. Flair stated that although I would like to blame it on my youth, it was due to excessive drinking and inappropriate behavior. He also said that he has countless times since then. “I made bad decisions during dark times in my life and that is something I spent a substantial part of the years I was given in 2017 by the doctors trying to rectify. I strongly condemn all forms of sexual assault. As have many others, I have written books that cover my transgressions. Although I have made terrible decisions, I have never forced anyone to make them. Period.”
