Since the 1990s, the actor Didier Bourdon has had a string of successes in the cinema. Alongside the gang of Unknowns, formed with Bernard Campan and Pascal Légitimus, the 64-year-old actor has diversified his appearances on the big screen. This June 21, 2023, he returns to the poster for the comedy 38°5 Quai des Orfèvres alongside actress Caroline Anglade.

A wacky comedy that is reminiscent of the feature films shot by the Unknowns. “It made me think of what we were doing with the Unknowns and in particular the film The Phone Always Rings Twice!!, which was in that spirit,” he told Le Parisien. As our colleagues have specified, Didier Bourdon is showing three films this year. An intensive period for the actor who explained: “Philippe Bouvard told us: “This job is unemployment or overwork”… It’s true. Besides, I shot “38°5 Quai des Orfèvres” at the same time as “Cocorico” because I really wanted to do it”.
Films that he chooses meticulously and that he does not hesitate to refuse. “I had a very young child, when I had no money, and I was afraid of not being able to do my job (…) I never needed to advertise to pay my taxes”, he explained and to specify that he had “earned well” his living thanks to the Unknowns.
As for the Unknowns, many of their fans want a return to the cinema of this emblematic trio. Will they make a comeback soon? The three artists are about to meet again to participate in the project of director and comic book author Riad Sattouf. “Riad must present us with a scenario very soon. It will not be a film of the Unknowns, but the Unknowns at the service of the universe of Riad Sattouf. The shooting could take place in a year”, explained Didier Bourdon. To be continued !
